Earned Income Tax - Residents

PSD Code - 631204

BACK

Any resident (or partial year resident) of the City of Monongahela who had taxable earned income, or net profits, during any part of the year must file an Earned Income Tax return.  This return must be filed regardless of age, amount of earned income, or whether or not you were required to file a state or federal tax return.

Your total local tax rate is 1% (one percent).  .5% (half a percent) is paid to the City of Monongahela, and .5% (half a percent) is paid to the Ringgold School District.  (Note:  This tax is based on your state (NOT federal) gross wages/net profits.)  Therefore, you must file two local tax returns:  one with the City of Monongahela, and one with Keystone Municipal (for the Ringgold School District).  Keystone does not collect for the City of Monongahela;  do not send your City return to Keystone Municipal or PAMS for the 2011 Tax Year.
